Life is Full!

Hello, everyone. I've been a vewy, vewy bad blogger. But, it is with good reason. Our lives feel so full right now. We are definitely blessed.

I feel like I spend every waking moment praying and thinking about our baby. I am now in my second trimester and am very much in the "are you sure I'm pregnant?" stage. Since I am overweight, I am not showing yet, and other than hearing the heartbeat of our little one two weeks ago, there have been no signs from the inside. I'm sure it is what a lot of expectant mothers go through. I guess worrying about our little one will never stop, but sometimes I find myself doubting and praying for a sign from God that our precious child is still doing well. Even if I haven't felt a nudge from Gummi Bear, God does plenty to comfort and reassure me. I know my life, and the life of my child, are in His hands.

Mountain Man and I have been taking small steps to prepare for baby. We have been cleaning out and donating things to make more room. We bought a camcorder to begin our pregnancy diary for baby to see later in life. We even bought a laptop to get rid of the bulky desktop computer and big computer desk.

One HUGE perk of buying the laptop is that we have a webcam and we're able to Skype with the family and friends. We've had video calls with my Uncle, Aunt and Cousins in the Dallas area, and have had several video calls with my parents. The ability to see all of their faces has been an immeasurable blessing. Somehow it makes them seem closer and helps me deal with the stresses I have been facing. It really is a blast.

Well, that is life right now. MM and I are getting ready to leave on a much-needed mini-vacation, so I will definitely upload pics and some fun stories from there when we get back.

P.S. Mountain Man shaved his beard, so he doesn't look so "mountainous" anymore. I don't know how to reference him now. I'll keep brainstorming because just calling him "Man" just doesn't do him justice.
