Day Five: Your Favorite Quote

My favorite quote is on from one of MM's favorite childhood authors.

I really love this quote and really believe it sums up the human condition today. Everywhere around me I see people rushing to accomplish things, be noticed, be heard, be successful. It is seldom that I hear any of these peoples relish the simple pleasures in life; the things that mean something like God, family, love, friends and this beautiful planet we've been put in charge of. I try to spend the end of each day remembering what I've seen, not what I accomplished. It is exceedingly rewarding.
