That's my little seester, a little drugged up, but nonetheless stunning, after I surprised her the evening of her ACL reconstruction surgery. Her surgery was two weeks ago on Wednesday and I wasn't planning on being there, but an episode for seester during pre-op and my dad being admitted to the hospital for chest pains necessitated a quick trip back home.
Both seester and dad are doing great now, for those wondering. It was God's providence that I was there, because I was able to help my mom out with taking turns with the two of them while they were in the hospital, help seester get settled in at our grandparents' house, and help my other seester get a good deal of their stuff moved into my other grandparents' house and a storage unit. (With the help of two big, burly, wonderful guys that care a lot about my seesters.) My big seester is an amazing woman who handled a move for two people single-handedly the weekend before she started her new job. Isn't she awesome?!
Then, on Sunday, it was up the road to Austin to spend the week in a class for work. It was lots of fun, but lots of work as it was a tough class, so I accessed Facebook from my phone, but that was the extent of my internet usage! I went with two of my kooky coworkers and their presence and ability to laugh at everything and enjoy life, in spite of the hard class and test, really lifted my spirits. Thanks to Denise and Laura! I had so much fun with you!!
I thank God that he was able to get me safely to and through all of this, and that He set up my life so that I was free to be there with my family. I may not have pictures to document every day during the past few weeks, but I have many strong memories, some trying, but most wonderful, that I'll carry with me forever.
My prayer now is that God will continue to shake up my life because that's when I know He's really working in and through me! I will not be content to be content any more!

Glad to hear that everyone is doing well! Being away from family is so hard...what a blessing that you were able to be there while they were in need! I agree with not agree with not being content with content...I just finished a bible study that talked about how often we just settle for normal! Praying for ya!
