I was thinking that this would be an easy post to write, but it turns out it's not that easy. The primary reason is that I don't really have a hobby. I have several things that I like to do some of the time. Isn't that the way it usually goes, though?
Sometimes, I crochet. Especially during the fall and winter. I'm hoping to one day finish a big project like an afghan, but for now I'm happy with making a few scarves a year. I'm actually starting to get the itch again and plan on finishing a blanket for my grandparents in the near future so that I can actually give it to them this year. After that, I want to re-start a gorgeous lace-like scarf I started for Mom.
Other times, I scrapbook. I haven't in a while, but I'm hoping that will change when I get my new workspace set up. I'm going to go through the computer and start deciding which pics I want prints of so that I can start a new book this fall.
During the spring and summer, we work on the garden. I'm tempted to call that more of a necessity than a hobby, but when I get out there and get some work done, I just love it!
There are a few other things we've got going right now. We're working on some small home improvement projects that aren't necessary, so I guess that's a hobby. I'm also getting ready to start building our haunted dollhouse as well as a model car, so we'll put "small-scale-replicas" as a hobby also.
So, there. I guess the most recurring hobby would be crocheting, so I'll call that my hobby for the day. :)
Not much else is going on here. MM and I just got back from my parent's for the holiday weekend. We had a BLAST, but that meant that the weekend just FLEW by. It was way too short. I have some pictures on my camera, so maybe I'll post them this weekend.
We're both back at work today and that's a bummer, but I'm starting water aerobics tonight, so that should be a lot of fun. Working out in the water is my favorite way to get exercise, so I really hope that the rain holds off and that we're able to go.
