8 Days

It's been 8 days since I put my blog on official "hiatus" and what a glorious 8 days it has been. It was one of my most enjoyable weekends in a while, simply for the fact that I didn't feel pressured to get up and blog. Of course, that pressure was self-imposed, but it was stress-inducing nonetheless. I still believe I'm far from regular posting, but I have been yearning to get back here and poke around a bit, maybe write a line or two, post a pic or whatever. I've taken some fantastic pictures recently. I believe that I was posting to meet some high ideals I had in my head, to meet some kind of imaginary criteria that just doesn't exist. The reason for starting my blog was to get things off my chest and let family and friends know what is going on with our lives. I don't want to be hurled into blogger fame; I just want to type.

Some things I've enjoyed the past 8 days:

  1. Weeding the garden.
  2. Being outside, a lot, with Jason and the dogs.
  3. Driving to Ft. Davis in the rain.
  4. Daydreaming with Jason about quitting my job and us moving to Ft. Davis.
  5. Walking the dogs.
  6. Playing the Wii. (It's MUCH more fun when I don't feel guilty that I haven't posted a blog all week.)
  7. Working out. (Yes, it really can be fun.)
  8. My quiet/bible study time.
  9. Preparing for Sunday's class.
  10. Teaching two precious little girls in Sunday School.
  11. Hearing God's Word preached with passion.
  12. The fall-like weather we had on Sunday and all the laying around we did that day.
  13. Talking to my Momma on the phone; boy do I miss my Momma.
I'm still working on my priorities, but I guess I'll never stop working on them. My goal is to just continue enjoying the simple things in life and not take anything or anyone for granted. I hope that is one of your goals as well.

Thanks for reading and many blessings to you and yours!
