Coraline by Neil Gaiman

I did enjoy reading this book, but I'm not sure what age it was geared toward. The writing seemed appropriate for an 8 - 10 year old, but the story seemed too scary for that age group. I may just be behind the times or old-fashioned, though.



Overall, I did enjoy the book. Coraline goes on a thrilling adventure with many weird twists and turns. Coraline proves herself in a truly brave and defiant manner and, against all odds, makes her adversaries pay for their evil ways.



I don't know who I would recommend this book to. It was exciting, but too scary for most of the children I know.
