Counting The Leaves

I'm a "Fall Freak", an "Autumn Advocate", the ultimate "Halloweenie".  I hope I am raising a beautiful mini-Halloweenie to carry on my love of all things fall.  We are counting the days.

It is so pitiful that we even have started an annual "Autumn in July" weekend.  That's right, MM and I packed up the Tahoe and the little one, and trekked up into the mountains for a picnic in the cool fall-ish breeze two Saturdays ago.  The next day MM even whipped up a batch of his "world-famous" chili to prolong the fall reminiscing.  And I'm VERY proud to say that Bunny enjoyed every bite!

Picnic in the mountains.  A Mommy and her Bunny-girl!

The scenery from our picnic site.

She was much more interested in the food.

Exploring nature with her Daddy.

Not the best picture, but the two best people in my life!

MM and his Bunny swinging in the mountains!

You can see what a happy pair this Daddy and daughter are!

Beautiful scenery.  I still can't believe sometimes how fortunate we are to live so close to this!

The Observatory; one of our favorite places to visit.

Looking down from the Observatory.  Just amazing.

Bunny was a perfect angel the whole time in spite of missing her morning nap.  She sat in her car seat just playing away with her "Tahoe toys".  On the road, MM and I had a blast pointing out the perfect pine trees for Christmas.  We bought an artificial tree a few years ago, but I think this may be the year we return to the Nature Conservancy in December to cut down our own tree.  That sounds like a wonderful tradition to start back up now that Bunny's with us!

Now, off I go to dreamland before a certain sweet, little thing notices I'm not in bed with her & her Daddy and pitches a fit!
