I experienced the world without internet this week. I went a full 4 days without checking in. SHOCKED?! Me too. The in-law's internet connection wasn't what I thought it would be (dial-up). No, as a matter of fact, it was non-existent. That's fine...we had fun without it. Who knew?!
I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. I plan on posting more later, but I have to throw in this tidbit:
Wednesday night, Jason and I went with my FIL and our nephew, "Button", who is five, to go see Jason's grandma. On the road we were singing Christmas songs and Button turned to me suddenly and said, "Baby Jesus was a baby, but now he's dead. It's okay, though, because he's going to come back for us soon." That was just what I needed to hear, to remind me to stop and focus on that baby, whose presence on earth was short, but changed everything forever. Thank goodness for my little nephew and his reminder to me.
