Painful Sunday

So last night, in my sleep, I managed to strain a muscle in my back. It was SO painful in the middle of the night that I had to wake up Jason to have him help me move around and such. I was able to take some medicine and do a few stretches to help me get back to sleep. I was hoping that the sleep would help, but I woke up this morning in just as much pain. So, Jason ran to the church to get the sound set up and I got myself set up on the couch. This was my view, pretty much all day.

Anyhow, Jason got home from the church and proceeded to take over the tv. (Okay, okay, I gave it to him for football.) I snoozed for a bit on the couch and when I woke up, this was what my guys were up to!

Jason decided earlier this week that, due to the weather being chilly and the Cowboys playing tonight, that he would make a pot of his world-famous chilli for dinner. Well, it is world-famous to me. Thank goodness, too, because I don't know if I would have been able to cook! So, he let the chilli stew for a bit and by the time the cornbread came out of the oven, we were drooling. It was delicious. By far the best chilli he's ever made! I love a meal that was prepared 100% with our cast iron. It just tastes/feels better for some reason!

Since we had it on hand, I just finished a snack of a slice of cornbread and some creamed raspberry honey. Delicious! That's the way winter evenings should be! The only thing missing was the hot chocolate. I opted for water instead. I could sure do without the extra calories especially since I wasn't able to work out.

I'm getting ready to head to bed to browse some magazines until I fall asleep. I've decided that it's time to downsize my magazine stash, so I've been going through them to tear out articles, decor ideas and anything else that inspires me. I've already gone through a HUGE stack and I've been tackling my new magazines as they come in. Right now I'm down to 10 magazine-holders full and I really, really hope to be done by year's end. We'll see if that happens with all the Nov. and Dec. traveling I'll be doing, but I'm going to try.

Well, goodnight and God Speed!
